About the game
Weathervane Arrows is a calm arrow-escape puzzle on a night-blue sky chart, with a compass rose, a full moon and old Japanese clouds. Every board is a picture made of brass arrows on parchment. Tap an arrow and it slides out the way it points, if its path is clear; if another arrow is in the way, it bumps and comes back.
Find the right order and clear the board, and a piece of a Japanese woodblock print appears underneath. 100 halls and 1,503 boards each reveal a public-domain ukiyo-e print, piece by piece: views of Mount Fuji, bridges and boats, snowy villages, birds and flowers by Hokusai, Hiroshige and other masters. Look first shows an arrow's path before it moves, three hints come free every day, and a bump never ends the game.
Every board is checked by code: each has at least one order in which all the arrows can leave, and "How is it fair?" checks its fingerprint again on your phone. A Daily Board and an Evening Board give everyone the same boards each day and fill the month's print in the calendar, with daily missions, a streak to keep, arrow styles and backdrops, and Google Play Games achievements, leaderboards and cloud save.
