About the game

Gilded Blocks is a classic block puzzle played on a dark walnut board with fine brass inlay. Drag three pieces at a time onto the 8×8 board, fill a row or a column to clear it, and keep going until none of your pieces fits. Pieces don't rotate, so every placement is a small decision.

Clearing lines on move after move builds a combo multiplier, and the combo ends only after three moves in a row without a clear. Classic is endless, with a few daily helpers: undo, swap and one continue. The Daily Board gives every player in the world the same pieces once a day, with no helpers at all.

Every game's pieces come from a secret seed whose SHA-256 seal is shown before your first move. When the game ends, the seed is revealed and the whole game can be replayed to verify it. The piece weights are published in the game, and the difficulty never secretly adjusts to you. No forced ads, no purchases.

How it plays

HOW TO PLAY

Drag pieces onto the 8×8 board, three at a time
Pieces don't rotate, so plan where each one goes
Fill a row or a column to clear it; rows and columns clear at the same time
When none of your three pieces fits, the game is over

BIG SCORES WITH COMBOS

Every square you place scores 1 point. The more lines you clear in one move, the more you score: one line is 10, two are 30, three are 60, four are 100, and so on. Every move that clears grows your combo multiplier, and the combo ends only after three moves in a row without a clear. Empty the whole board for a +300 bonus.

FAIR PIECES YOU CAN VERIFY

Every game's pieces come from a secret seed. Its seal, a SHA-256 fingerprint, is shown when the game begins. When the game ends, the seed is revealed and the game can be replayed to verify it. The piece weights are fixed and written on the "How is it fair?" screen, and the difficulty never secretly adjusts to you. Classic has just one stated rule: every new set of three includes at least one piece that fits on the board.

TWO WAYS TO PLAY

Classic: endless play and your high score. Undo your last move (3 free a day), swap your pieces (1 free a day), and when the game ends, continue once with three small pieces that are sure to fit.
Daily Board: a daily puzzle with the same pieces and the same seal for everyone in the world. No undo, no swap, no continue. One official attempt a day, then share your score.

CALM AND COMFORTABLE

A calm piano-jazz soundtrack of three original tracks, soft wooden sounds and haptic feedback. A colorblind pattern option, vibration on or off, and a short tutorial in your first game. Plays offline, no Wi-Fi needed, in ten languages.

Where is my progress saved?

Your level, XP, league, statistics, daily missions, daily streak, Daily Board scores, unlocked themes, the game in progress and your settings (such as language, sound and reminders) are saved inside the app on your own device. We cannot see it. If you are signed in to Google Play Games, a copy of your progress (not the game in progress) is also kept in your Play Games account so you can continue on a new device; when the two copies differ, the one with more progress is used and the other stays on your device for 7 days (Settings → Previous save). Uninstalling the game or clearing its data deletes the copy on your device.
