Eight Empires: Civilizations · Last updated 26 October 2026
Eight Empires: Civilizations is a free, single-player strategy game for Android, made by Alper Akar, an independent developer based in Türkiye. You build a village into an empire as one of eight civilizations and compete with computer-controlled (AI) rival villages on your device. This policy explains what data the game, its advertising partners (Google AdMob and, through AdMob mediation, Unity Ads and Liftoff Monetize) and Google Play Games Services process.
In short
The game has no accounts of its own, and we do not collect your name, email address or anything else that directly identifies you. All rival villages, their names, messages and offers are generated by the game on your device; you never interact with other real people in the game. To learn how the game is played and to fix crashes, it uses Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics (see below). It may show a small banner ad, and full-screen ads only when you choose to watch one for an in-game reward, such as shortening a construction by one hour, an extra builder for one day, double raid loot or doubling a daily gift. Ads are delivered by Google AdMob, which may fill an ad request with an ad from one of its mediation partners (Unity Ads or Liftoff Monetize). The data these services receive is encrypted in transit. There are no in-app purchases. The game itself can be played offline; ads and Play Games need an internet connection.
Fair play
Your village, the world and all AI rivals are simulated on your device. AI villages follow exactly the same rules as you, the eight civilizations have identical stats, and there are no loot boxes or random paid rewards. No data about your play is sent anywhere for this.
Ads (Google AdMob)
When the game loads or shows an ad, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process your device's advertising ID, your IP address (which can be used to estimate your approximate location), information about your device and the app (such as model, operating system, language and app version), your interactions with ads (such as views and taps), and crash and performance diagnostics. Google uses this data to deliver, measure and, where you allow it, personalise ads, and to prevent fraud and abuse.

Mediation partners. To show more ads that fit and to keep the game free, Google AdMob can pass an ad request to the following ad networks, which compete to show the ad. When one of them serves an ad, its software in the game may process the same kinds of data described above (advertising ID, IP address and approximate location, device and app information, ad interactions and diagnostics) to deliver, measure and, where you allow it, personalise ads, and to prevent fraud. Your choices under Settings → Ad choices and in your Android settings apply to them as well. Their privacy policies: Unity Ads (unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy) and Liftoff Monetize, formerly Vungle (liftoff.ai/privacy-policy).
Banner ads
The game may show a small banner ad in its own space at the bottom of some screens, in its own space. Unlike the optional ads you watch for a reward, banners appear without you choosing to watch them, but they never cover the village, the map or the game controls and you never need to tap them. Banners are loaded through Google AdMob in the same way and with the same data as described above, and your choices under Settings → Ad choices and in your Android settings apply to them as well. Without an internet connection no banners are loaded, and the game still works. Banners can also be filled by AdMob's mediation partners described above.
Google Play Games
When Google Play Games is available for the game and you are signed in to it on your device, the game signs you in automatically; otherwise you can connect in the game's settings. It then uses Google Play Games Services to unlock achievements, post your scores (such as population and raid victories) to leaderboards and keep a copy of your progress in your Play Games account (Saved Games), so you can continue on a new device. When you are signed in, Google shares your Play Games player ID, gamer name and avatar with the game, and stores your achievements, leaderboard scores and saved game in your Google account. Depending on your Play Games profile settings, other players may see your gamer name, avatar and scores. Saved Games contain only your game progress; we cannot see them. We do not receive your email address or your contacts. This data is handled by Google under its privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Play Games is optional: if you are not signed in, the whole game works without it. To delete your Play Games data, open the Google Play Games app, go to your profile → Settings, and delete this game's data or your whole Play Games profile; you can also manage it in your Google account at myaccount.google.com. Uninstalling the game alone does not delete data stored in Play Games.
Usage statistics and crash reports (Google Firebase)
The game uses Google Firebase Analytics to count how it is played: for example when it is opened, which civilization you picked, when you build, raid, send a spy, make a trade deal or watch an optional video, linked to a random app-instance ID, not to you. Firebase Crashlytics sends a crash report (device model, Android version and the technical state of the app) if the game crashes. Learn more at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, usage statistics are stored only after you agree in the game's consent form, and you can change your choice in the game's settings. Clearing the game's storage starts a new random ID. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Your choices
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the game asks for your consent before ads are personalised, using Google's consent tool, and you can change your choice at any time under Settings → Ad choices. Wherever you are, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalisation, in your Android settings. Watching full-screen ads is always optional: you can play the whole game without watching any.
Data stored on your device
Your village, buildings, troops, resources, hero, quests, reports, settings and server archive are saved only on your device.
If Android backup is turned on for your Google account, Android may include this game data in your device backup. That backup is handled by Google under your account settings; we have no access to it.
Deleting your data
Step-by-step instructions for deleting your progress, your advertising ID and the statistics linked to a random ID, and how long each is kept, are on the Delete your data page.
Permissions
- Internet and network state, used to load ads, to connect to Google Play Games and to send usage statistics and crash reports.
- Advertising ID and Android's ad services (such as ad measurement), used by the Google Mobile Ads SDK and its mediation partners as described above.
- Wake lock and foreground service, used by Android's scheduling library (WorkManager), which schedules the reminders and which the ads SDK relies on.
- Notifications (Android 13 and newer), asked once, used only for game reminders that you can turn off: a construction or training finished, storage almost full, an incoming raid, a hero adventure ready or a daily gift ready. They respect your sleep-shield hours and are limited in number.
Purchases
The game is free. There are no purchases inside the game. Resources are earned by playing; optional videos only give the bonuses described above.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
